The Jedi Order were an order of Force Sensitive beings formed to protect the thousand worlds of the Galactic Republic. They were eliminated by the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY, subseqently starting the Great Jedi Purge.
The Force Unleashed[]
By the time of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, the Great Jedi Purge had been initiated for 17 years, and not many Jedi had survived. Galen Marek's main occupation is to hunt down and eliminate Jedi for Darth Vader, notablyJedi Masters Rahm Kota and Shaak Ti.
